Wednesday Keynote (John Chambers)
John Chambers is a bit of a full on guy and I would liken him to an intelligent car salesman, a very good car salesman, but a car salesman nonetheless.
He did deliver the most exciting and occasionally humorous keynote to date. It was very sales level orientated and not particularly technical so I wasn’t that interested until they showed vFrame in action.
vFrame is a datacenter virtualisation provisioning engine. What that basically means is, if a company wants to add 100 new staff, vFrame offers an easy way to examine whether there is enough existing capacity in their virtual environment and if not automatically create what is needed in minutes.
Hopefully the video presentation that was presented at the keynote, will be put online, because it makes it much easier to outline the benefits.
Here’s a link to find out about vFrame directly from Cisco’s website.
