Compellent SAN

Most current SAN vendors do not have any sexy products, but they will soon have to start because there are some that do.
Compellent is a company that until yesterday I hadn’t heard of, but I now can’t get enough of. The buzz of virtualised storage has been kicking around for a while now. Everybody has heard of DataCore and the like of 3Par and FalconStor, who are all software vendors of virtualised storage solutions. What if a company that sold SANs had management software that could do most of the cool stuff that these software vendors do, but bundled it with their SANs.
Compellent do exactly that. You get thin provisioning, mixed array LUN presentation, virtual pools, replication, mirroring etc etc.
